In 1951, the U.S. government provided funds and the Japanese government assigned Professor Tamiya from the Tokugawa Institute of Biology to study the large-scale cultivation of chlorella. The U.S. National Registered Pharmacist, Herbalist, and Nutritional Professor Dr. Mindell wrote in his book 《維生素聖典》"Vitamin Bible” states that Chlorella is a perfect natural nutritious food. In addition to containing complex protein, it also contains vitamins B, C, E and important minerals, especially the extremely high content of zinc and iron, which can be used as a supplement." He also found that Chlorella can enhance the function of the human immune system, improve digestion, help the body detoxify and relieve joint pain. Because chlorella has a comprehensive and balanced nutritional content, it is widely used in many nutritional weight loss programs and has a significant effect.

As the discoverer of pantothenic acid, American biochemist Williams (former president of the American Chemical Society) published his book "Nutrition Against Disease" (Nutrition Against Disease) in 1971, which put forward an important concept that became a new guide to nutrition. The book advocates that all nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids, form a group to work together to maintain mutual balance. That is to say, the above-mentioned substance is like a necklace linked by a lock, as a "lock of life", any one of which is insufficient, any thinning will cause the lock to break. This means that all nutrients are very important and are equally valued. Moreover, if only one nutrient is taken too much, the overall balance will be disrupted, and the body's own health care capabilities (the ability to maintain normal activities, vitality, and self-healing power) will be weakened. Chlorella is just the combination of these three in one, so it is called "perfect whole food".

Chlorella is a superfood that eliminates body toxins and complete nutritional supplements. It is rich in protein, 18 types of amino acids, fiber, beta carotene, vitamin C, E, K and all B vitamins. Chlorella also contains mineral substances include calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and trace amounts of manganese and zinc, as well as folate and lutein, which are essential for women. The chlorophyll content is the highest among green plants in the world.

The protein content of chlorella is 2 times that of beef and 3 times that of eggs. The iron content of chlorella is 50 times that of raisins, 16 times that of pig liver, and 2 times that of milk. Vitamins are 4 times that of raisins; chlorophyll is 10 times that of barley leaves and 5 times that of kale and spirulina; carotene is 100 times that of ordinary plants. Other nutritional value far exceeds that of high-protein foods such as eggs, beef and soybeans. The iron content of 6 grams of chlorella is equivalent to 3 kilograms of spinach, carotene is equivalent to 1/5 pumpkin, vitamin B1 is equivalent to 1 carrot, and silt acid (vitamin B3) is equivalent to 1 broccoli.
